"Your a Mother!"

Interesting the views our children have on life....Yesterday I was curling Hailey's hair for her before a birthday party for a boy at her preschool. This is the conversation we had:

Hailey: "Mom, do you think I am skinny?"

Me: (Bewildered, and grasping for words) "I think you are beautiful just the way you are. There are people that are big, skinny, tall, short, and all shapes and sizes. One is not better than the rest."

Hailey: "Well, I want to be skinny."

Me: "That's fine, you can be whatever you want to be. Do you think I'm skinny?"

Hailey: "Your a mother!"

Me: "Thanks, I guess."

I don't know what is going on in her little mind, but I wasn't sure if she was complimenting me or if I should be completely offended!

Swimsuit Season....

With the weather getting warmer it is apparent to me that swimsuit season will be in full swing before I know it. I always hate the miserable trip to the mall to find a MODEST swimsuit that actually looks appropriate to be in public but hip enough to feel good about myself and all my "curves". Anyways, I love these swimsuits from Modbe Clothing. Fun, fashionable, and MODEST!!! Anyways, I wanted to order one but I figure there are a lot of you out there in my same predicament so I was thinking of hosting a party. No Book Club...

I have been in bed since Friday with a very bad case of the flu that is going around. I haven't been able to get better and I haven't even been able to get any reading done while I have been sick because of the nausea. So sorry everyone, book club will be cancelled indefinitely! I will post more later....right now I have to go blow my nose!

Update on Previous Post...

It is now 4:00 PM and I have hit a new low even for me. I have been feeling sad all day and as a girl whenever we feel sad we immediately go for chocolate. Well, Madison was taking a nap so I couldn't run to the gas station and grab myself a quick fix so I completely scoured the house for chocolate and found none. I even went through Hailey's room to see if she had any leftover Valentines candy--no luck! After about 20 minutes of searching for something I discovered a bag of chocolate chips and started eating some by the handfuls. While I was sitting there enjoying my "snack" I noticed the Peanut Butter jar sitting directly in front of me. I thought what the heck, and grabbed a spoon and dived right in. Somewhere between the spoonful of peanut butter and the handful of chocolate chips I mixed in with it, the thought occurred to me that this was very wrong....but that didn't stop me. I must say I feel better! Now I guess I have to hit the gym.

I'm feeling Blue....

I'm feeling blue today. I just want to curl up in my bed and pull the covers up over my head and sleep all day. The weather doesn't help. I wish it was warm and sunny. Anyone else feeling blue?
